Under the guidance of Artistic Director David McAllister, The Australian Ballet presents a diverse mix of ballets every year.
The dancers regularly make us gasp in wonder at the prowess of the human body in motion. But their athleticism is tempered with an aesthetic regard for the quality of the movement and its ability to communicate emotion. The dancers' guides in this quest to go beyond "gymnastic tricks and pretty movements" are our talented and dedicated ballet staff.
