Benjamin Stuart-Carberry grew up in Wahroonga on Sydney's North Shore. At the age of four he started dancing at The Conlan College of Classical Ballet in Turramurra. At age ten, Benjamin joined the The Australian Ballet School's Interstate Training Programme and eventually joined their full-time programme in 2006 where he was awarded the Marina Berezowsky Award for Excellence in Character and the Graeme Murphy Award for Excellence in Contemporary Dance. Benjamin toured with The Dancers Company in 2008 and 2009 and joined The Australian Ballet in 2010.
