Kismet grew up in Toowoomba, Queensland and began baby ballerina classes at the age of three. She moved to Melbourne in 1999 to attend The Australian Ballet School. In 2002, Kismet joined the Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada, a brand new company in Moncton, New Brunswick. There she performed the principal role of Suzanne, which was created on her for the ballet Figaro. In 2003 Kismet joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet, where she performed numerous soloist roles. She joined The Australian Ballet in 2004 and has toured with the company to New York, London, Cardiff, Auckland, Shanghai, Tokyo and Paris. Repertoire highlights
Awards
You may not know ... Kismet is currently studying a Bachelor of Business online, and has completed The Australian Ballet School's Vocational Graduate Certificate in Elite Dance Instruction. She also teaches for The Australian Ballet's Public Programs, and is a Dancers' Representative and a "ballet buddy" for Blackheath's dance school Dance for Life.
