INFORMATIVE TALKS
Inspirations
Since 1962 The Australian Ballet has presented over 130 works by Australian choreographers. New works are necessary for the development of a distinctive Australian style, as well as challenging our dancers. When a choreographer is inspired to create a work, they transfer that inspiration to the dancers and onto the audience. In this talk, choreographers Stephen Baynes and Timothy Harbour discuss the passion and process that brings their vision to life on stage.
Russian by Birth
The richness of Russian art, music and theatre are renowned. In this highly entertaining talk, Russian-born pianist Emma Lippa will reminisce about her life in Russia, her time with the Bolshoi Ballet and the magic of Tchaikovsky's ballet scores, including The Nutcracker.
