Brett Simon

Brett Simon was born in Adelaide and began his dance training with Sheila Laing. At 16, he moved to Melbourne and studied at The Australian Ballet School, graduating in 2003. From 2004 - 2006 Brett was a member of West Australian Ballet and he joined Hong Kong Ballet as Senior Soloist in 2007 after appearing with them as guest artist in 2006. While dancing with these companies Brett performed many principal and soloist roles in both classical and contemporary ballets including works by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Ronald Hynd, Antony Tudor, Rudi van Dantzig, Simon Dow, Stephen Baynes and Stanton Welch. Brett joined The Australian Ballet as coryphee in July 2009.

    You may not know…

    After living in Hong Kong, Brett has a great appreciation for chinese dumplings. His favourite is Xiao Long Bao, a shanghainese specialty.
