Teachers' day

To celebrate ballet teachers and their commitment to, and love of, dance, we hold Teachers' day. It's our way of saying thank you.

It's also an opportunity to keep abreast of the qualities and technical virtuosity now required of the professional dancer by watching company class. At the completion of morning class join the ballet staff member who took class and one of our Education Ambassadors for a discussion and more detailed demonstration of the themes covered in class. There will be time for questions.

Participants who do not fit these requirements will be unable to attend. The name, gender and date of birth of each participant is required at the time of booking.

The Australian Ballet accepts MasterCard and Visa. Please make cheques payable to The Australian Ballet.

For security purposes and in case of an emergency, the names of all participants will be required.

Here's some important info you need to know before attending Teachers' day:

  • So we can commence on time please arrive at Stage Door at least 10 minutes prior to the start time
  • Before class commences, you will be introduced to the class teacher and at its conclusion join them, our Public Programs Ambassadors and fellow dance teachers for a discussion and more detailed demonstration of the themes covered in class
  • No cameras permitted
  • Please complete relevant information on the Participant Information Form and bring it along with your ticket
